Aw, thanks!
The movie experience started to creep me out. Now, I've been on a date where we were the only ones in the house...but at least I wasn't completely alone for 90ish minutes. Creepy!
Yah, you wouldn't know whether some perve might've just wandered into the theater and was now sitting in the shadows behind you, about to shoot spunk on the back of your head.
(There's a nice Valentine's Day mental image for your dreams nightmares.)

What I wouldn't give for a massive downfall of snow and for it to stop just long enough for the kids to try out their new (well it was 2 years ago!!) "Speed Demon" sledge that grandad got them for Christmas many moons ago. it's still on blocks in the garage!
Can you believe it, my youngest is 3yrs old and she's never seen snow!!!

If you do manage to bump into old St Nick on your travels will you do me a big favour and just remind him not to forget the Nintendo DS lite in pink (please don't forget the pink bit it's more important than life itself!) that my little girl asked Santa for in one of the many letters she's sent him.
Cheers mate I wont forget this!

Caldrail......I feel your pain my friend, keep your chin up !
-
Thats the tragedy - its not a rust bucket at all, its a very clean Eunos with a relatively tasteful aftermarket body kit fitted. I'm on low earnings at moment (thats what happens when your previous boss dumps you by the wayside) so its going to be a while before I surrender to instinct and buy something equally ridiculous - and by the way, I notice as I walked home tonight there's a 360 Modena for sale at a car dealer (in a rough part of town no less!), selling for
-
You know what to do then Caldrail?..... Ditch the rust bucket and get yourself a good reliable car...........I've heard that the Vauxhaull Vectra is a most excellent automobile!!!
-
Well thank you very much Caldrail, I drive a Vectra.................
Only joking!!!! I wouldn't be seen dead in one! Every time I see one on the road (which incidentally is about every 2.5 minutes) my left eye develops a nasty twitch and my head begins to jerk violently!! Dull is not the word!
So come on then Caldrail what sort of chariot do you cruise around in then??

I was under the impression that wine tasting involved taking a sip of wine, swilling it round your mouth and then spitting it out, it sounds to me like your doing it all wrong PP!!
You big cheat !

True, you did predict the springboks would take the title, and I also warned you not to write off the chances of the OAP's from England (albeit in a mocking tone!!). After the 36-0 drubbing we received in the group stages everybody wrote us off and even said we'd struggle to make it out of the group!!!! HA!!! Those people under-estimated the strength and determination of the English, our team is packed with quality and experience and with the right boot of Johnny Wilkinson we were always going to be hard to beat.
As far as the final goes I think the best team won, you're right in saying the springboks are the kings of the line outs, we just couldn't compete in that department and that's where the game was won,, but if you look at the game on the whole I'd say we were pretty unlucky, we gave away 6 early points through silly mistakes which could and should have been prevented and what about that dis-allowed try from Cueto!! That try should have stood, there was nothing wrong with it! If it had been allowed and the kick converted then it would have been 10-9 to us with 20mins to play, South Africa were on the back foot and we were firing on all cylinders, at that stage of the game there was only going to be one winner, then we lost Mike Catt and Jason Robinson, arguably two of our most influential players and not to mention our skipper not coming out for the second half etc etc etc.
But at the end of the day that's rugby and those things happen so I'll just leave it there by congratulating South Africa on winning the World Cup. I'm just glad that after the poor start to the tournament England gave a good account of themselves and rammed the views of press back down their throats!

TiVo ????? Please explain!
Thats the brand name of the first DVRs introduced here in the states.
Don't know what I'd do without one. My wife and I have a rather aggressive television viewing schedule. It's tough to keep up.
Ahhh thought so, we have the same thing over here but it's called Sky+, I totally agree with your inclusion, this thing really is the best thing since sliced bread, I don't know how we managed before we got ours.

WOW 1 million visitors!!!!
That's pretty impressive, just goes to show what an amazing site we have going here, and it sounds like it's just going to go from strength to strength.
I'm sure most of the regulars around here wouldn't mind chipping in to keep the site up and running to it's maximum potential.

Glad the digs are OK Doc!
I bet when you next come home from work you'll be met by a scene of feline carnage, your little cute, butter wouldn't melt pussycat will have invited all the other moggies in the neighborhood round for a house warming party, there'll be empty tins of tuna littering the apartment, open cartons of milk spilt all over the kitchen floor, cats sparked out all over the furniture and I bet there'll even be some big tom cat trying to impress the the new p**** in town by swinging round on the ceiling fan!!!
And just when your about to lose it and start kicking the cats out she'll look at you with "those eyes" as if to say "don't you want me to make any new friends??" And there you are, now your screwed, before you know it your lovely new apartment is the new hang out for all local waifs and strays!
So don't say I didn't warn you!

A fine looking instrument indeed LW, do you know how to play or are you just going to strum along and find your own way in the harp world?
-
Hope it all goes well , if the VTC in the book is as interesting as the VTC who's writing it then I'm sure it'll be a rip roaring success!

True Habana is like lightening but what about the reigning champs??
The OAP's of English rugby must surely retain their title......

Speaking of lazy days, well it'll be more like lazy weeks for me. At 6am tomorrow morning I leave this rubbish British summer for two weeks in the glorious mediterranean sunshine.... (all inclusive as well.....mmmmmmmm free beer!!) Ahhhh bliss!
On second thoughts, I've got two small children who find it almost impossible to sit still for more than a minute, so I'll probably come back more knackered than when I went!
See you in two weeks!

I'm a big stew fan, you can't beat it, quick, easy and it lasts for days and the funny thing is , the longer you leave it the better it tastes. (why is that??)
Cheers for the cooking instructions Doc, I think I might rustle up a bit of Gumbo for the family this week end!
