I haven't read them all, but very much enjoyed the ones I have read. There's a certain humour running through them, and a certain humanity to the characters. The only thing I don't like is the sometimes disconcerting scene breaks... there doesn't seem to be any logic to some of them.

Thank you so much for this. I went this morning and had a very interesting time.

Thanks for that. I wondered why the car park was closed when I drove past the other day. Thanks. I'd like to have a look round that. I'll be disappointed if I'm too late.

I'd like to tell you about my new e-book "Gladiatrix" by Linda Gruchy The Amazon.com link: http://www.amazon.com/Gladiatrix-ebook/dp/B00A4EMA28/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1352495657&sr=1-1-catcorr (The Amazon.uk link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gladiatrix-ebook/dp/B00A4EMA28/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1352495657&sr=1-1-catcorr) I have launched this novel at the special price $0.99 for just 48 hours, after which it will go up to $2.99. ie late on Sunday evening GMT. It's set in Camulodunum (Modern Colchester, Essex), and then in Rome during the time of Trajan. I am sentenced to be a Gladiatrix; a mercy or so they told me. Roman Justice is for Roman citizens, not for Celts like me. My father the bard sang the wrong songs and is dead, my husband is drowned in the marshes, and none of my kin will dare raise a voice against our oppressors lest they too suffer. I must learn to fight with the trident and net. With the blessing of the Goddess I will live long enough to earn my wooden sword and freedom. For some photos of my research etc, and other news please look at my blog:- http://lindagruchy.wordpress.com/ I will be updating this from time to time with more photographs of Roman remains in Colchester etc. (I hope this doesn't transgress any forum rules, and I really wish I'd found this site ages ago.)
