    Chicago

I guess it's the undeground station. I think Flavius Valerius Constantinus can say it exactly.

    Chicago

I didn't use it, lol. I used taxi. But Chicago underground is really difference from Moscow underground (it's not so dirty and some old stations are really beautiful and have sculptures, mosaics and stained-glass windows) because I did this picture. There are excursions for tourists in Moscow undeground.

I was impressed! The weather was really bad, there is fog (or nebulosity was very low) and this big black building looks very ominous.

    The Existing Monopoly

Well, I'm glad that I still live in Russia, lol My textbooks for University cost about 70$ for each semester, because part of them I take in the University's library. I spend a lot of money for books though but they're not textbooks. I buy what I want to read only.

I Have Got A New Job

My New Year began with new job. It was so suddenly for me and I still don't know is my job good or bad for me. Yes, I think maybe it's good because I can work and study at the same time and I'll have even a bit more time for study. On the other hand my new job is so far from my plans for future and may be like occasional employment only. Well, I'll see all world but very briefly and mostly it'll a bird's-eye view. lol I'll see Istanbul tomorrow. Hi, Byzantium!

I Have Got A New Job

Hey! My sister is a flight attendant & so was my mother (now a manager of in flight training). It's not a bad job! Do you work for Aeroflot Lacertus? No, I'm working in Eastline Group. This group have it's own airport (Domodedovo) and its own tourist business and we supply charters and private flights to all countries. Sometimes we escort tourists only while they use other airlines company which cooperate with Eastline. Thanks for your moral support, Pantagathus. I hope it's my temporary job. I'm an archaeologist in spite of all these things.

    The Bosporan Kingdom

The Bosporan was an ancient state on the northern coast of the Black Sea, founded ca 480BC through an alliance of existing Greek city-states. The kingdom's capital was Panticapaeum (present-day Kerch). The small colony Panticapaeum got world magnitude during the Athens blossoming epoch. Well-being of Athens was closely connected with Panticapaeums Greek colonies, and they had been achieved and kept an easy approach to Pontus in best way. Pericle sent to Pontus (444 BC) the great sea expedition to strengthen the connections of Athens with it and to get the markets as for export of the crude products which necessary for Attica, and as for import from last products of technical equipment, but in the meantime, to show power of Athens. From 438 BC to I BC Thracian condottieres are in the head of Bosporan management who were invited to defend the country against barbarians and getting salaries for this. Similar practice used commonly in Greece colonies. The Archaeanactid and the Spartocid dynastys ruled the Bosporan Kingdom during over 300 years. The Bosporan Kingdom was at the height of its economic and cultural development in the 4

    Holy Trinity-st. Sergius Laura

I put some pictures to my album "Moscow" and it's a little comment to this sight. St. Sergius's monastery developed for the villages and settlements surrounding what is now known as Trinity-St. Sergius Laura. In the 14th century the citizens were painters, wood carvers, and toy makers. The toy factory, as well as the tradition of craftsmen, survives today. Trinity-St. Sergius Laura is one of the most revered Russian monasteries. It is the historic center of the Russian Orthodox religion. Sergius was instrumental in bringing peace and unity to much of Russia. He worked with feuding princes and citizens to unify a greater Russia. It is ironic that his lifelong intention was to abandon the world for the sake of inner self-discipline and he ended up spending most of his time in peace making ventures. During Sergius

    Ice sculptures

Thanks! Intestingly that ice sculpturs look very fragile but they already stay a long time and will stay all winter I think. I always wanted to do something like that near my window but I've got a couple misshapen heads only, lol
