  8. This one is baffling me: Musical fame Late Republic era Notorious contribution to Rome's economic success (through conquest?) Allied with Pompey Sulla is really the only one I can think of who fits the clues, but it's definitely not him.
  9. It would seem the rumors of your demise have been greatly exaggerated.

  17. Wow! Those pics are SOOO cool! Congratulations, FG, you must be quite proud.
  18. All good suggestions (with the exception of Doritos and Snickers ... yuck! ) Snickers were created in the early 1930's by the way and thus just qualify as part of the SBE. I have to agree with Doc on some degree regarding Diet Soda (1952). It sucks. Except for Coke Zero, that is.
  19. It's not a bad comparison. Mario Puzo would seem to agree: HAGEN You were around the old timers who dreamed up how the Families should be organized, how they based it on the old Roman Legions, and called them 'Regimes'... with the 'Capos' and 'Soldiers,' and it worked. PENTANGELI Yeah, it worked. Those were great old days. We was like the Roman Empire. The Corleone family was like the Roman Empire.
  20. Ha! Caligula ... aka Gaius Julius Caesar Wilbur Germanicus.
