  1. Where are there good resources online regarding Sulla's reforms/constitution? Also, do you think that if the reforms had been retained, the Republic could've lasted longer?
  2. Skype is a very nice utility, if you can get your friends and loved ones to download it. Many have speculated that eBay's buyout of skype is a strike against Google, and their new GTalk IM service (there has been a long running rivalry between Google/Amazon and Yahoo/eBay).
  3. Indeed I do! It's great to be here - I've come across this site a couple times before in my research, but never actually looked at the forums. Some great things going on here - I only hope I can add some intelligent input now and again!
  4. Like many others, I'm in no way an 'expert' on anything, but I am pretty knowledgeable from about 82/83 BCE on until just before Caesar's rise - basically I like to read about the collapse of Sulla's reforms. I've also done extensive research on Sertorius (the second greatest Roman general, in my opinion).
  5. This is indeed a hard question, and many great names have been put forward to fill the slot. However, I would have to agree that Octavian was the greatest of all Roman politicians. He tied together a Republic torn and shattered, with the support of the conservatives, and the name of Caesar - truly a feat at the end of the Republic! He had himself named Princeps, and forged for himself a position that would last hundreds of years. Definitely Octavian. And definitely not Caesar - even as a general, I think he's overrated
