Findings on two different roads with similar names: Via Domitia and Via Domitiana

There have been two recent findings on two different roads with similar names: Via Domitia and Via Domitiana.

First the background:

The Via Domitia:

First the findings on the Via Domitia (the road in Southern France):

Archaeologists at the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP) have discovered a new portion of the Via Domitia (Domitian Way), the ancient Roman road that once linked Spain and Italy via southern France. The discovery of the Roman road section was made prior to laying a hydraulic pipe to secure the water supply between the southern French areas of Montpellier and Narbonne.

News on the Via Domitiana (the road in Campana, Italy): A portion of the Via Domitiana has been discovered during routine excavation:

A stretch of the ancient Via Domitiana, has come to light in these days, during the works of arrangement of the road, near the La Schiana Hospital in Pozzuoli. The paved section, made with several silices in volcanic stone of classic hexagonal format, in good condition, is attributable to the Via Domitiana, or to one of its road diverticulum.

Here is a wonderful video on the Via Domitia. The aqueduct of Nîmes, France is part of the development that the Via Domitia brought.
