guy
Archaeologists have uncovered a 4th-century BCE chamber tomb in Manduria, Southern Italy, during sewer excavations. Magna Graecia was the Greek-speaking region of Southern Italy that existed before the Roman Republic. Starting in the early 8th century BCE, many of these city-states remained independent until the Second Punic War, when they were annexed by the Roman Republic around 205 BCE. https://greekreporter.com/2025/09/11/greek-tomb-manduria-southern-italy/ Below is a previous post about a Greek necropolis discovered in Naples, formerly an important city in Magna Graecia.
