guy Posted March 12 Report Share Posted March 12 (edited) A Carthaginian coin from the first century BCE was used as bus fare in Leeds, England, in the 1950s when it was unknowingly accepted by the cashier for Leeds City Transport. It was rediscovered by the grandson and donated to the local museum. Origin of the Coin Minted by Carthaginians (Phoenician culture) in Gadir/ Gades (modern Cádiz, Spain).
