DecimusCaesar
Perhaps it's this Clibanarius that you mean: There is an excellent reconstructive drawing of this cataphract to be had in Parthian and Sassanid armies, published by Osprey and illustrated by Angus McBride. Lost_Warrior
No it's not him, it's a modern drawing that may very well be based off of that one.

Gladius Hispaniensis
Good work J P Veira. Just checked out your slide show. Very impressive. You actually have a vast subject on your hands so I'm sure there's plenty of work out there for you to do! I was wondering if you could put in some Byzantine infantry figures out there? Another special interest of mine would be Hebrew and Philistine uniforms from Biblical times. Edited May 11, 2007 by Gladius xx
sonic
Hello J P Veira. I must agree that this is a very good illustration. I was wondering if you could send me others through email as well. Especially if you have any from the Justinian era, c. AD 525 - 565 ?

Northern Neil
Fantastic stuff. I particularly liked the Assyrian vs. Arab picture; terrific action pic. I also liked the Etruscan/ Roman picture - the contrasting morale of the high and lower class troops is depicted beautifully in their facial expressions! I always try to make the faces expressive and to convey the precise emotion. I am trying (as in Arabs Vs Assyrian) to do more action illustrations.
