Yo!, y'all, I put up Brindisium just as Moonlapse started playing with the site.! :furious:

 

How unfortunate. If I guess this one you can go next. Too bad I don't have a clue ;)

No, not Tusculum.

Here is the clue. This place is quite famous but not for its Roman ruins. Every year millions of Europeans spent there their summer holidays but majority of them are sitting on the beach. But some can always rent a car and go to see what is left after Romans. Its not in Italia. Its west from Italy.

 

If it wont help Ill give another clue soon.

All are wrong but Bryaxis is very close to give right answer.

 

Another clues:

 

1. this area is well known also because one of the most famous 19th century composers spent there some time with his lover who was a famous writer and very contreversial woman.

2. In making this area Roman had his part Quintus Caecilius Metellus (I wont say whichone)

 

Now its too easy....
