I find myself very sympathetic with the Arian view of the Christian faith. DecimusCaesar Posted November 27, 2008 Report Share Posted November 27, 2008 This book has been on my wishlist for some time now. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it this Christmas. The year is one of the most important in the history of Rome, and even of the Western World. I enjoyed reading Edward Gibbon's description of the events in his Decline and Fall, and I hope this book will be able to bring a greater analysis of the year and its events, not to mention its impact on history. Theodosius and his reign should be better known, so hopefully this popular history will reach quite a few people who have never heard of him.
