    in 1940, they could treat wood to make it water proof, had nails, sails, and food preservation. Cave man era had nothing of the like. The only civilization that, IMO, could make it to the americas was the phoenicians. The only possible route would have to be off an island in west africa then over to the point of brazil or to florida. But then why didnt the phoenicians or egyptians try and conquer and settle the lands?

    I have not seen it yet but i plan to. What i dont like is how some jews are claming it is anti semitic because they feel it is blaming jews for the death of christ (keep in mind 99% of them have not seen the movie). They are complaining about something that is true and really did happen. The only way to have changed that was to think about what you we're doing when the actual event occured.

    Im sure there we're celtic traders but the amount of merchants of the roman empire to that of the celts isnt even nearly equal. The romans had stuff coming from iberia, the middle east, africa and other places whereas the celts probably couldnt ever get a great amount of these items but the romans could.

    Well, we've set up a meeting with the co president of the group which will take place on thursday. I have already ordered my clothes from www.sutlery.com http://6thnjvol.homestead.com/ This is their site. We mostly do the events during the summer and the first one is on March 27th, i shall take pictures and have primus (if he dont mind) put them up on here. BTW, try some of the recipies. MmMmMm. delicious hard tack.

    I've recently joined an american civil war reenactment group. The 6th New Jersey, Company C and the 23rd North Carolina, Company D. Lucky me

    Not so sure about the coinage but the merchants went there and showed the tribes people things from rome such as luxary items and showed them what a bath is. This was done to show the tribes how great rome is and how much better off they would be if they joined the romans. I know that if i was a barbarian and i saw an aqueduct and a colluseum, i would join them.

    50,000 is a big army to lose back in those days. Amazed how they could lose 50,000. Probably got lost in the sandstorm and died of thirst

    Well, the irish didnt vacation here, they moved away from kiltland and stayed in america, quite a lot of them infact Kilts we're the scottish armys standard uniform at one time. Makes you wonder what if there we're a bunch of scottish troops running and then suddenly a draft of wind blew the kilt up and the enemy died laughing. That would be a site to see.

    There was a 2 hour program on all the biblical plagues and amazing things in the bible on the discovery channel. Most we're scientifically explained.
