A very interesting read, enjoyed the video also.

Never knew this existed.

It was created by a true artist. I would love to see it in person.
By the way, I'm always tempted to scroll down and about on the pages to read about other exciting finds. The video of the Acropolos Museum was amazing. That would be wonderful to see as well. Have you ever been?
-
Yes, very touching.

Photos were stunning, esp. the one with the arched entrance to the arena. You can almost sense what it was like to emerge from that and be inside.

Oh, thank you. The answer must have been in the first link which I could not open without disabling Adblock. I only read the info at the second link.

Has the inscription been translated?

Nephele, I miss your posts. Hope you and yours are well.

Thanks for sharing this.

I can't wait to see what discoveries are made. Perhaps areas where looters haven't been. Wouldn't that be thrilling to see new statuary, etc? I know many people find it all so touristy and such, but I've always been fascinated by Pompeii.

That's amazing.

An interesting read. Thank you. Like the guy in the video, I also always wondered just how the lamps worked.

Have you personally ever been to the Vindolanda site? Are tourists allowed there?
-
Great! Something to watch this evening besides channel surfing. Will watch later.

This is the first I've read about these other coliseums. The one in France is amazing.
I hope you get to travel to Croatia, hope we all get to travel - anywhere - in the not too distance future.
-
Yes, it is interesting. Thank you for posting.

They are beautiful. Amazing.

Oh, how fascinating about the earring and its discovery.
And I don't think I've ever seen a collection of mummy portraits like this. Thanks for sharing.
-
Nice.
Wouldn't you just love to see how it really was back then?

That's a lot of litter boxes to clean. 😉

Well that was an enjoyable and informative talk with Ann Olga Koloski-Ostrow. Thank you for posting. I would like to hear more from that site. but I didn't catch the name of the young woman presenting the series of talks. The next was to be on leprosy.
