No way I could ever attend, but how I would LOVE to. So hoping people respect the countryside as the article suggests and don't damage anything. Research on the positioning of watchtowers and signal stations associated with the Wall (c/f Wooliscroft 'Roman Military Signalling) gives a strong indication that the soldiers were probably more concerned with light shows as an indication of which way to send reinforcement rather than as a tourist attraction Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
