wally1987 Posted May 16, 2005 Report Share Posted May 16, 2005 From what i understand on the situation with the armour change is that many of the roman soldiers didnt feel protected enough with the chain armour and the solid plates that formed the post chain armour felt more protective and gave the roman legions more confidence in their defensive measures.
