Formal excavations at the Archeological park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun site will start in April and continue to October 2006. The following archaeologists confirmed their participation in the expert teams: Mrs Grace Fegan, a leading Irish archaeologist, Mr Royce Richards, an experienced archaeologist from Australia, as well as archaeologists who graduated from the University of Insbruck (Austria), Glasgow (Scotland) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).

 

There is no such person as Royce Richards. Grace Fegan is a real archaeologist. There is a Richard Royce, but I don't know his credentials or experience. It would be nice to find out who really is working there.

Yes there is, I studied with him at Flinders University. He recieved his undergraduate Bachelor of Archaeology in 2004, he is now completing a Masters in Journalism and works for the Department of Environment and Heritage in Adelaide.

 

I wouldn't say he is an 'experienced' archaeologist, but he definetly exists...

So there's a Royce Richards? As well as a Richard Royce? It is really confusing, as both names are used in various articles, and Austria is sometimes substituted for Australia.

But of course, neither of them may be in Bosnia, the names were of people who might participate.

 

It would be nice to get in touch with Grace Fegan.

Doug, the more I think about it the more it perplexes me. There is no way the Royce Richards that I studied with would be working on a site like this in the near future, except as a volunteer. But he is Australian and an archaeology graduate with a relatively unusual name...

Any explanation as to the significance of those pictures? They add nothing to this thread, without information. If you say "they are unearthing the pyramid," I'll laugh.

Semir Osmanagic a Bosnian archaeologist? Hardly. Not even in Bosnia do the archaeologists believe in Lemuria.

Has anyone noticed the inconsistencies in stating whether the alleged pyramid is "Mexican type" or "Egyptian type" - supposedly the construction technique is identical to that of the Egyptians - does this make sense if the pyramid is platformed? (I added the quotation marks because "Mexican pyramids" do not all have the same characterisitcs as the pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan or the Chichen Itza pyramid, which is clearly the model for some of the drawings I've seen. Indeed, a couple of pyramids in Mexico are round!)

 

I have been to Visoko recently and so far have seen nothing to convince me it is a pyramid. I am not an archeologist but I have visited dozens and dozens of sites in Mexico since childhood, which in the current, unfortunate, climate, apparently makes me a qualified expert!

This will be the smallest inconsistencies. How about "there is no pyramid there"? That's a big one!

Some of my favourite inconsistencies are:

 

1) the first date arbitrarily announced was that the "pyramid" is 27,000 years old, then revised down to 12,000, with no explanation... But hey, it was arbitrary to begin with!

 

2) S.O. and company quote his own books as sources of verification of his unsubstantiated theories!

 

3) The attitude that people who don't believe there is a pyramid have to prove there isn't one, rather than the other way around!

 

4) Anoncing "exact" measurements of something which, even if it exists, is covered with earth and therefore not measurable! And that the measures are all precisely metric- exactly 365 metres per side! (this was claimed on May 4 or 5) The link to the number of days in a year is so obvious...

Yesterday arrived at Visoko Ali Abdullah Berekat, the leading egyptian pyramid expert. He will stay for a month in Visoko to attend the excavations. Already today he was very impressed to see the sandstone blocks and materials.

"They are jealous," Osmanagic told LiveScience in a telephone interview. "These people are going crazy because they've been teaching students that these [bosnians] were cavemen, and all of a sudden they are finding complex structures here."

 

I don't know which Osmanagic is more, stupid or a class act comedian. I guess he outsmarted the people into giving him a hefty Swiss bank account.

 

Then again guys, life began in Bosnia about 12,000 years ago when the life of humans was approximately 6,000 years ago. I think Osmanagic should meet Chuck Norris, both very alike.

Egyptian experts back pyramid theory

 

 

 

 

 

Leading geologists from Egypt have confirmed that the pyramidal structure discovered near the town of Visocica is indeed a pyramid. Dr Aly Abd Barakat (an expert on Egyptian pyramids) visited two areas of excavation - the north and east faces - at the structure, which is now known as the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. His conclusions about the blocks on the eastern face is that they are of a similar construction to those found

 

in Egyption pyramids - the blocks are handmade and polished; in Egypt, stones were polished to reflect the sunlight. Barakat also believes that the blocks, 4m x 1.5m in size, were brought here from a different location. Some of the blocks in the eastern face of the pyramid have been laid on top of each other, to a depth of four blocks. This gives some

 

indication of the massive size of the ancient construction. After studying excavations on the north side of the pyramid, Barakat concludes that the blocks here are handmade and have been created using a mould to form the blocks, which consist of an ancient 'concrete'-like mix. He also noticed a white line some 0.5cm thick between the blocks, indicating a cement-like substance has been used to adhere

 

the blocks together. A similar method has been seen in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids. Barakat went on to visit another excavation site located at the base of Pljesevica Hill, which is named the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon.

 

He concludes that the 'steps' that form the sides of this pyramid are made by human hands. Some 20m above this part of the

 

excavations, he noticed a large number of blocks placed symetrically, proving they too are manmade.

The Egyptian pyramids had a purpose and that is to align them with the stars. The Bosnian pyramids are randomly placed on 'sacred mountains,' allegedly. Be honest here, is this truly a possibility if possible at all. You are only looking at the positives at them. Have you seen the frauds? Egyptian experts? The only true Egyptian expert is Dr. Hawas who ridicules the account, the rest of the Egyptologists are from Europe, who also dismiss it as nothing more than a hoax.

 

Osmanogic says that the Illyrians living in the area were 27,000 years. Are you kidding me? Scam, scam, scam. Many European academics and archaelogists denounce this, good for them. Not to long ago there was a protest because of the Bosian pyramid scam.

 

Now they are thinking of the Bosnian pyramid as the 8th wonder of the world. Not only do they have to fill their pockets but they have to completely embezzle the whole hoax. They should be arrested and accused for fraud and false information. This is no longer a shame, this is beginning to get disgusting.
