I caught sight of the graffiti earlier today, and somebody had scribbled below it:
Phil Collins' career. 20th Century taking the piss?
-
Yes, though I am a Romaphile through and through, I am well aware of the fact that student parties are not places to discuss the subject.

?Que?
It is a poor man's Myspace.
Myspace is free...
I am loving the razor-sharp wit!

Have Fun! God I miss my University days....I've only just finished a few months ago.
Unfortunately there was no real Classics society in our University, so I never got a chance to go to any meetings. I didn't even study any sort of history at University. Wish I had.
Still, It was one of ,if not, THE best times of my live.
So what exactly did you study?

Oh the wit...

And yes, I am being a good boy... so whatever Lost_Warrior and her ninjiggy subs say are all lies. (She gets inside looks into my caffeine/boredom induced adventures with friends I have on weekends off my myspace blog)
Myspace is the tool of the Devil; thankfully I have not succumbed to its evils! :chair:

I lost half my family because they had 'A/C on the brain' - I think it may be hereditary!

Isn't there evidence to suggest that Corbridge was violently sacked during the inter Agricolan-Hadrian's Wall period. I once read an archaeological journal on the matter - when I find it again, I shall post more information.

Thought you might enjoy a photo I took while in Rome this summer. Note the focal point: the Roman Senate building, still standing while the Basilica Julii is in ruins. Yes!
Obviously a hairy barbarian thought it was not wort stealing!

Lol yea. How big were Murex, and how were they caught? Was it like those tiny feeder fish, could you catch a few thousand in a net all at once? Or did you have to catch them with bait and a hook?
LW incredibly , I found this defunct site with a murex article.
Yes, very interesting indeed. I do however have a point out a minor point in regards to the article. The article mentions one legend, which credits Helen of Troy as the dye discoverer, who came across it when her dog bit into a sea shell and was coloured purple as a result.
Though there is another legend attached to the dye's discovery. According to the 2nd Century sophist, Julius Pollux, is was in fact Heracles' dog which stumbled across the dye.

I got me a pint of Boddington's, a loyal dog at me feet, a loyal and beautiful woman in me bed, and more Roman history than I can write in a life time; what more can a man ask for?
1) Pop tarts.
2) Transformers the Movie on DVD.
3) A pair of pirate themed long-johns.
4) A car with 'go-faster' stripes.
5) The power to control time with my mind.
6) A grey chinchilla called Dave.
7) World peace A 1974 custom telecaster.

I have made my final decision: 1 + 2.
And as for the travelling, if I pick a certain module for the Archaeology part of my course, I get to excavate the site of a Roman frontier fort in Egypt.

I have recently finished doing an A-level--I don't know much about the US education system, but you are probably doing something similar--in American History. The course involved writing many an essay; if any of them are relevant, I will send them to you if you want.

So, to summarize, the English language is farked beyond all hope, and we should all switch to, say, Spanish?
No, Polish is the way forward.

Aggg... wisdom teeth. I had all four out when I was 16 and had a prescription of Tylenol with codeine for pain... well codeine makes me vomit violently (twice, because I was a retard and didn't realize I was reacting to medication) and I ended up reopening the sutures. I won't divulge the particulars, but it gives me the willies just thinking about it.
That's the sort of pain I went through; I just didn't what to scare young Antiochus.

Pop tarts are very good for getting the curse - diabetes. At 2 AM, are you sure that you weren't wandering about looking for tarts?
Hehe
-
So was Deva the base for a legion other than the XXVV?
-
Breaking news. Just got back from the dentist. Wisdom teeth gotta go.
Ouch! I lost mine six months ago, horrible business; it involved lots of cutting, opening, pulling and stitching...thank the heavens for anaesthetics!
I do hope your removal goes ok.

And I don't want to marry and divorce billionaires. I mean maybe, if I found one I liked... (but I don't like the idea of divorce unless it needs to be done)
You could arrange a situation whereby your new found billionaire husband 'accidently' fall down the several flights of stairs, that way you'll be rich without divorce.

That fresco of Neptune is brilliant.

Makes one wish that he were nailed by a roving, ravaging, raving Iceni.
Not by a brash, bristling, Brigantine?
Or a super-sexy Silurian...
