Inappropriate?All i said is that tacitus said mean and funny things about jews you can find it here,www.ourcivilisation.com/smartboard/shop/tacitus/histries/chap18.htm,if it does not come up just click on www.ourcivilisation.com and do a search,i typed in Tacitus on the jews,meaning his writing about jews in the rebellion.Its one thing to censor me,but to censor one of the best ancient roman writers in all of its history is kind of funny.

I dont know even why a history class would want a debate on this subject,rome in my opinion had the better army and would own han in a battle b/c there infantry was far superior of what of han had which were mainly peasant farmers,im not saying all but a great number were peasants,the han china people at that website would say different but an army of the size of han would have no way of having pro army of what rome had.

I love the show rome on hbo i just think its sad that this is the last season of rome or what i heard,i kind of knew that in the states people would not watch rome like they did other shows like sopranos or dead wood,i guess people over here are just not into history or rome its self.I guess they were watching american idol lol,and whats up with you brits,i thought you guys were into stuff like rome,for what i heard your ratings are about the same as ours over here not being that high in ratings of viewers,its kind of sad to me but oh well i love this show even though its not perfect,but great characters,good actors and great drama.GREAT SHOW!!!

If you want great info on this funny subject go to china history forum where you can see all the biased opinions on this subject,i think on the china history forum the thread is like 90 pages or something like that.All you have to do is click on Han and it should be there the thread is called rome vs han,for the most part all the pro china people say everything about han was far better than rome ever was and some people go as far as saying the infantry of han was better than the legions i find that very funny,i wish i knew how to copy and paste there funny comments on this thread it would be very funny and biased,im not joking the people over there think evey thing about han china is vastly superior to rome and i mean everything,i joined that thread just to annoy them.

Did any of us say roman cavarly and knights are the same or on the same level of war in battle?I know knights were better but im not sure about medieval infantry compared to the romans,knights got the armor,decipline and training but the common soldier aka the infantry for the most part did not get much armor,training and most important decipline,even in medieval times a deciplined infantry would not break against a charge,all the romans would need to do is use more spears and more archers to will a battle,they would need to use combined arms to win and i think in the infantry department the romans were supeior to the medieval times and as we know most battles it comes down to the infantry and decipline.

I dont know why you are trying to fool people by saying the romans stoped using spears in battle,that seems to me a little off just a bit.

kosmo,many battles were fought only by cav?,The point is in most medieval battles there were always more infantry then cavarly.You are funny kosmo by saying the romans did not use that much spears,any good commander if he seen the enemy with a lot of heavy cav would adapt by using more archers and spears which the romans were very good at.Some medieval armies were professional but not all,the professionals were the elite knights which got the armor,training,decipline which a lot of the common infantry lacked.

Sopranos,deadwood have been on for many years,if rome is only on for 2 seasons that means hbo did not profit off it b/c not many people watched it or the show cost to much for hbo,very sad if thats true,i blame my country=usa, for people not watching it b/c the ratings were not even on the level of that lame show dead wood or that goofy show sopranos,very sad if true since they rushed this show in my opinion by not showing what they should have,oh well its a damn great show,i will be angry if this is the last season of rome,great actors,great drama,great scenes, people from my country just did not tune in,i guess they were watching donald trump fire people or american idol.......

At the bbc website for rome it said the show is over/meaning done for/ but season 2 comes soon,even more weird on the lame wikipedia it said this will be rome's last season.I HOPE THEY ARE WRONG,and if its only 2 seasons that means the show failed for being only 2 seasons long or it cost to much money to make.damn you hbo!!!!!!

well if thats true it annoys me,they are going to fast in this series,first off i was kind of pissed that caesar was killed off in season 1,they should of shown some of his gallic wars b/c the guy that played caesar was such a good actor,but i just wish that they dont rush this great show like they did season 1. And i hope they show anthony's campaighn to parthia and i also thought it was odd that caesar in the show did not talk about parthia.

i think vorenus will go crazy in the second season just by seeing the advertisements for season 2 on hbo.go to hbo.com and you will see what i mean.
