These are all wonderful but I especially like these doves...
-
I love those guys ^_^

can you tell us anything about these people?
All I really know is that Blackwell was their family name and must have operated a family farm on the site in the mid-late 1800's

Palin: You shot him!
Jones: He's dead!
Idle: He's completely dead!
Sgt.: I have now eaten the banana. The deceased, Mr Apricot, is now 'elpless.
Palin: You shot him. You shot him dead.
Sgt.: Well, he was attacking me with a banana, what'd you expect me to do...

It's useless to try to paint anything without proper mood.
Without Polymnia's sweet words in my ear I too am like a dry brush on an empty canvas

Good heavens, I wish the Lion vs. Tiger thread was still able to be posted in, look what I found:
"The great advantage of the tiger in unarmed combat is that he eats not only the fruit-laden foe but also the red currants. Tigers however do not relish the peach. The peach assailant should be attacked with a crocodile. Right, now, the rest of you, where are you? I know you're hiding somewhere with your damsons and prunes! Well I'm ready for you."
sorry, off topic but the defense against fresh fruit skit was one of my absolute favorites

Or how exactly were 'wolf's nipple chips' prepared...

I've said it before but I imagine that's exactly what a rich Phoenician merchant would have looked like...
You just had to post this...

Oh, lol! Your cat flys right! My cat turns upside-down all things on my table! He plays with lamp and pens and tears in pieces my papers...
Newt is a good man... See how careful he is to sit on that book?
My old Bobtail used to play hockey with the pencils and could be quite a nuisance when I was drawing at times. Newt however is very respectful!

Every American I know that has visited there has loved it. I hope to travel there at some point.

Is it me or does the angel has a severed neck.
You and your Catholic mind! It's not an angel, its Nike... All the motifs on that frieze are Greco-Roman polytheistic.
I don't think the stone was split, though I don't know how weathering would cause that discoloration

Yes, It's mine. I was in Crimea this summer. It's a Koktebel bay near Feodosia (10 miles to West).
Not to sound like I'm repeating myself but you painted this? Not just 'yours' in the sense that you own it?
It is absolutely wonderful. I for one would pay handsomely to own a piece like that! Very, very well done!
Sorry it took me a few days to check for your response.

Bamberg it is, but we have one in Eboracum-but hes way up in the dark corners of the Cathedral and rather small.
Well, I think it is much more appropriate as your Avatar given your herbalist background. It looks quite good.

Is it a relative of the trout & salmon?

Bob Ross! OMG, did he say he was painting "happy trees"?!?!
I used to watch his show on public television when I was young.

Incidentaly while in Asheville, North Carolina this past weekend and I had a wonderful couple of beers by Green Man Ales at Jack of the Wood. Quite delicious.
Very nice picture! it seems that this is a rendering of the Bamberg Green Man from Germany (13th Century church)

Before I saw the enlarged picture I thought it was some underwater shot in an aquarium!
That's really cool

Where is all this?
Chesterfield County, South Carolina

Interesting thing is I don't think those berries are supposed to be there this time of year... It has been a very warm winter.
I have also been hearing songbirds around that shouldn't be here until spring...

Looks like this is a good spot for varied (edible/non-edible ) wildlife. Is the rock strata volcanic with some ablation till or just a disturbed manmade surface? The river looks idyllic.
It's a dream habitat for local wildlife. I've come accross everything there. ~13 years ago there was even a bobcat (which of course are extremely rare now) that lived in the hardwood area set to be destroyed.
In side the property, every rock formation is natural volcanic.

I see that Atropine, a common antidote to chemical weapons is derived from this plant.
