  1. I don't know them well. My mom does. I recognize them in there but I've forgotten the meanings.
  2. That's great! It really seems like Dr. Whyte is really interested as well as all of the others.
  3. WOW that's alot of work. Lol I feel bad for your pencils Very cool. The "camara gloss" isn't a big deal. I have a photo of a picture I painted that was in a frame, there's a reflection of me taking the picture in the picture lol.
  4. In the end, it seems like the senate had very little power (as Germanicus stated) they were a puppet of, it seems everyone. The senate's power would have to be restored, first off. Secondly, one major problem with the armies is that they were in competition with each other. Two generals might be able to work together if they had to, but most of the time, they were out for their own personal glory. Allowing generals to have the triumph meant that every one wanted one and it caused armies, loyal to their respective generals, to do all sorts of things they shouldn't and wouldn't usually do. Armies it seems were no longer loyal to the Senate, or even to Rome. They were loyal to their general.
  5. I got a nice gold poster frame and my map looks *sweet* hanging in my living room, right above the couch
  6. Ah. I thought it was "her" but I had read somewhere that Andre Norton was male (I remember my surpise because I couldn't imagine a man named Andre )
  7. I like the idea, though it may be confusing to others who do not know any term other than "Byzantine".
  8. I'm guessing this isn't the same rue that's used as a thickening agent in foods...is it? or a relative?
  9. Andre Norton was great! I love his books. I'd forgotten all about her(or is it him?). Most I mention her to never heard of her before, so I'm very pleasantly surprised to see her mentioned here.
  10. Wow...when I first looked at this I thought it was a torch or something...then I saw you next to it...o_O I'll bet its very loud, and very hot in there.
  11. Strange...I could actually see me reading, or watching, that. Who's that weird looking guy with the red paint in the corner though?

    Blue Heron

This one isn't so good. I referenced the heron from Birds&Blooms (my new fav magazine) and added the background myself, impressionist style Graphite and colored pencil.

    Roman Glass

My mom got me this for Christmas. It's supposedly a piece of ancient Roman glass, made into jewelery.
  16. This was a Christmas gift for my friend and her family. Acrylic paint on a domestic turkey feather.
  17. Wow. Man I can make a professional looking graphite and colored pencil sketch in about 45 mins. I should post some of them as well (though I will probably watermark them at this point as I am seriously considering selling some stuff) Thank you! ::blushes::

    Nasurtium

It's a Sony Cybershot digital. No, I haven't eaten the unripe seed heads. Honestly I don't think they ever last long enough at my house to do so. If I'm not eating them, I'm daring my friends to eat them
  19. I'll say. I hope things go well for you. It really does look like Dr. Leader wants to help you, though he's right, it is very late to be starting this I just hope you and he gets to it before the quarry does.
  20. Cool, I've never seen anything liek that before. Though, with a dialup connection those things tend not to work too well. I haven't tried this one yet. I think there's several of those type sites around...one of them actually has DJ's, I know two of the DJs there.
