Political Ramblings

In light of Martin Luther King Day, Hillary Clinton has proven to me that she is a fake and ignorant person. First of all, she's trying to attract Republican voters by saying all this stuff about being tougher on Iran, terrorism, et alia. But it's all so obvious her intentions are false. Next thing she does is by playing the race card and call the House of Rep a plantation. I mean seriously woman! Are you that much of an a-hole! I mean if a Republican said that, he would get massacred by the med

Bomb Threats, Early Dismissals, And Searches...

Yesterday we got out of school...well...about 5 minutes early. They made an announcement that all after school activities were cancelled, and that all students were to exit the building on the bell. They then rang the bell five minutes early. We all knew something was wrong, but we were like, "what the heck, we ain't complainin'". I find out later that there was writing found in the bathroom saying something that the teachers found remotely threatening. Apparently, they were the only ones to fin

The Wall In Gloomy Season

Im determined to get to Hadrian's Wall in the next few days -I dont know if the weather will allow me to present any reasonable photos,if it remains gloomy I may have to confine myself to interior artefacts at the Roman Army Museum and the Castle Museum at Carlisle. Britain has a general water shortage , this does not seem to affecting Brittania Inferior. So I will be absent for a while. I will be on the Wall again at the start of February so lets hope for a few hours sunshine.   Madame Perti

Can't Find A Reason...

I've scoured my mind for reasoning, none to be found. Looked to different philosophies, nothing to help me. Finaly I resorted to seeing what they actually say in health class, not too much help either.   I can't figure it out with that girl, so enigmatic and attracting, but gosh darn it my feelings are just stupid childish things, no reasoning to it at all. I've come to the conclusion that its hormones acting up in my teenage years, curse them for befuddling my thinking. Pretty sure I suppose

In Current News

For people who read the news, you've recently have read articles about Osama bin Laden. For the most interesting part, Osama is offering a truce to us! Bah! I'm mean come on, who's gonna listen to a guy who lives in a cave. Until recently, Al-Qaeda has been taking big hits, such as the elections in Iraq. But now, you've got reports that four top terrorists of Al-Quaeda were killed in that bombing by the Unmanned Predator.   In other news, the US government has subpoena Google. The government w

General Clark

The other night, I had the prvilige to hear a speech by General Wesley Clark, and then meet and speak with him. His speech, focusing on the Balkans and part of the overral series of speechs at my school concerning the issue of "Do we really care about human rights?" was an amazing thing. He spoke of the past relevancy, his personal experiences in and out of the military and washington and then went on to answer questions very detailed and thoroughly ranging from his speech, to Iraq, Iran, China

Distribution Of Income And Unrv Posting

I mentioned in a thread on the Gracchan grain dole that the distribution of income is typically best described by a power function (sort of like an exponential/logarithmic curve). You probably have some inking of this distribution if you've ever heard a politician or professor complaining bitterly about the fact the top 1% owns 50% of the wealth (or whatever it is in your local area).   However, economists have been pointing out for some time that this power law of income distribution really

Johann Pachelbel - Classic Goes Wild

Johann who? ...you might ask, well he was a great baroque composer and his Canon in D is well known and very often played, a classic so to speak...   Now take Johann Pachelbel`s work Canon in D and add a brilliant taiwanese with a hot electric guitar and you get that!   i only say WOW   regards viggen

Almost There #2

Ok, so I just had a brief hick-up as it is now discovered that the new owner and permit requestor is not Hanson Aggregates but a company named Buckhorn, LLC but that cloud has passed without event...   Here is the a copy of the e-mail that the Archaeologist from the South Carolina Department of Archives and History sent to the South Carolina Department of Health-Mining:   Marianna,   I just received a couple of emails concerning a very important/significant sounding site that I believe ma

Almost There...

Here is a string of e-mails from the last 24 hours in regards to my archaeological crusade:   #1: Sean:   I have contacted a former student of mine, Chad Long, who now works for the SC SHPO. Being an insider and one who may feel some indebtedness, Chad will, hopefully, puruse your request!   Let me know how it all pans out. Tom Whyte   #2: Sean,   Tom Whyte forwarded your email to him regarding an archaeological site in SC. Our office might be able to help. Please send me the gener

My Politics

Ah, so I am confronted so oftenly now with where I stand politicaly. Of course, like all things there is a history to this, and I beleive I am now beleiving in a form of democratic socialism (by some people's standards) though I have found no political party in existance that matches what I beleive. Well, as far as my political beleifs, they've gone through several phases:   1. First off, I cared nothing for politics. This was as a young child. I lived in the "bubble" of early childhood with l

Stupid Finals

Well everyone, I'm in the fight for my life. Today finals started and so far, I think I did very well. Scriptures was about a 150 questions, but the test was so straightforward that it made the test easy. So no stress there, but math is my major weakness, however, the test was easy this time even though there were so many trick questions. As for tomorrow, I have Literature, the one I'm most of afraid of. Then Gym, haha that class is such a blowoff. Lastly for the day, I have Honors Latin II, now

Eheu! Galleria Squalidus Est

This does not mean squalid as in "profane or unseemly", rather "untidy or unkempt." If my meaning is defective im sure I will be corrected. And I mean My entries not the gallery as a whole! My intention within the Roman Herbal Gallery is to present a dual image of any significant "ancient" herb. As can be seen from the previous classification entry, I am making a basic attempt at catalouging plants used by Greek, Roman, Celtiberian and Medieval societies. Different plants have varied significa

The News

We have been through a wringer the last few weeks, but things are looking up.   Mariann's deletions are in a place that will probably avoid most of the major health problems, somewhat confirmed by a more powerful ultra-sound test done Friday last week. That showed no major heart problems (which would be detectable by now) and her kidneys (enlarged two weeks ago) show normal.   With luck, there will be no major medical problems.   Even better, while the deletions do cause retardation proble

Blow Off Class...

Something I love is when you are taking a class in the first couple days you can tell if this is going to be an easy A = blow off class and those you can't. I've got about 2-3 of my 6 classes like that... I just hope I can survive my one class. That being my one political science class, (I made a tread in the after hours section), because of my frustration with the instructor. But it is always good to know you can drag ass in some classes and concentrate on the harder ones and still pull the goo

Hadrian's Wall

I am waiting for some favourable weather before going on photo recce to the more photogenic parts of the wall. I am presently re-reading Sawley's "Oxford History of Roman Britain", and this gives a good broad brush picture of the military and political activities leading to the construction/modification of the wall. The book strongly conveys the idea that one can consider the areas to the south of the wall being offered "shelter" by the wall to prevent unwholesome combinations of tribes ( inte

A Trial Of My Life

Through out my life, and as through out all people's, I have faced trials if you will, though a recent one seems to be clashing with myself more and more. This is the battle of Instinct versus Brain, Hormones versus Philoshopy, and to not become something I don't wish to become. This is my battle with uncontrolable desires and feelings of attraction, from which we all suffer at one point. I don't care for my body to force me to feel things I don't wish to feel, which seems to be happening.
