who is Solon of Athens?
I thought it sounded extremely more modern than someone who lived thousands of years ago lol.

1. Trust good character more than promises.
2. Do not speak falsely.
3. Do good things.
4. Do not be hasty in making friends, but do not abandon them once made.
5. Learn to obey before you command.
6. When giving advice, do not recommend what is most pleasing, but what is most useful.

I love a good non-white bread. But I'm too lazy to bake it myself.

Sage wisdom always brings a tear to my eye.

A hotel? So you were traveling. Your patron must have been busy and not watching one of his favorite charges.
May you recover quickly.

Well, I hope thigns do get better. Happy Yule/Saturnalia/Solstice. May the Gods favor you!

Alternatively, you guys can renounce this bureacratic fantasy you call a European Union, tell your monarchy to get a real job, and become the 51st state.

Everyone gets in a funk. At least you have a money in your pocket.
Take your time and feed your inner self.

Hail to Zeus. Justice was done.

Good luck!

Geeks like me all too often focus on the historical and academic side of things, neglecting the personal. Your blog is a good reminder that religion is a living and breathing affirmation of one's relation to the divine.

I'm inclined to think you would have saved the taxpayers and the judicial system a lot of money and time if you had shot him with your pistol.
But at least he won't be bugging you anymore. :-)

Thank the gods you and yours are alive and well.

Was at the Ecauldron years ago. I ran afoul of it. If Koi is still there, watch out for her. She is a rabid theology student (Christian) that the admins there keep around to convince themselves they are tolerant and high minded.

Customers suck. Co-workers suck. Woe that we weren't born rich.

I seem to remember a very recent survey as regards the "attractivness" of men , for some reason it boiled down to how much money they had regardless of , say stomach size or witty conversation.......
All too true. And the higher one gets on the socio-economic scale, the more pronounced that particular attitude.
But hey, we're all Romans here, and we realize love and marriage are not synonymous, right?

Ave Pertinax! A nice sampling.

I've tuned out TV and Radio information a long time ago. :-)

Society is getting more open about this all all the time. I don't have any good advice on how to deal with the parents, unfortunately. But you should have a lot of breathing room if and when you run off to college.
You are fortunate to have accepted this about yourself at your young age. I can't say I struggled with my sexuality, but I denied parts of my self for a long time - and the longer you deny them, the more they bite back.

May you find something more profitable and enjoyable.

Anything that makes you travel! My personal choices, 1 and 4.
Those would have been mine, too.

Two beautiful women. In bed. With each other.

Congrats on your first job. Glad you enjoy it. But a smart girl like you needs to go to college or a trade school so you won't have to do those menial tasks the rest of your life. Either that or marry a rich husband.

Yes, this is one of my favorite movies, and the sound track is magnificent.
An overview- thank the gods for UNRV!
