Since my computer crashed I no longer have YIM or MSN or AIM. I have ICQ (334-390-403) which will connect with AIM. I'm considering re-downloading YIM and MSN (since ICQ won't connect to them).

Just when I thought my last two weeks had gone *completely* down the hole, I get this call from my dad "Go to Circuit City and pick up your new computer" (or something to that effect). He ordered me a computer that I could pick up at the nearest Circuit City. And he got me 512 Megs of RAM!!!! (Now off to download FireFox)

Oh, I just realized that any computer I get, my RAM won't fit in it. $100 down the drain... Well if my dad fixes my computer or gets it rebuilt or whatever and uses it, I'll let him keep the RAM...or if he sends it back to me, then, cool.

I don't even know what that is. My dad's gonna hook me up. My RAM has just been installed recently and it worked fine. Probably the motherboard. I don't know, but my dad has a techy friend and he's going to get it straightened out. My computer works, barely, but it works so I'm going to not even turn in on except when I can't get to the library (I'm there now)...saving my "borrowed minutes" I guess...since I'm sort of "running on down time". It is likely a hard drive problem, since that's what the restore wiped and re-installed. ****I installed $100 worth of extra RAM about a month ago. If I pull it out and put it in a new computer will it screw up the new computer? I don't want to lose that investment after only a month, but I don't want to screw up a new computer either.****

Nah, the whole thing is slow. Not just the internet. And I constantly get "not responding" programs...can't even use word processor. I can't access my gmail account atm either. The page simply does not load.

My computer crashed, and I had to restore my hard drive. Read: lost EVERYTHING! That program I used to paint digital pictures? GONE! Some of my poetry and writing? GONE! Everything. GONE! I've been expecting this for a while, all I can say is thank the gods for restore cd's. I guess it's about time my computer got a good cleaning...but I've lost my instant messengers, and I'm not entirely sure when I'll have them back, so I may not be online for a while. And man, IE is slow. I'm gonna download FireFox again FIRST!! Oh, and I also lost my extensive list of Roman links. [Edit] It's still not working right. I think it will probably crash again. You won't see me around as much untill everything gets back to normal. I can't really even access my email. FireFox is also very slow, and it took me three tries to get it to download properly. I'm having all kinds of problems. ::cry::

I don't know why they didn't think of stirrups in other places. Must have been a pain in the but (literally!) to mount and ride a horse without them! Especially with all that armor (poor cataphracts! :cry:) I can't imagine the strenght and skill it took to ride a horse without stirrups!

More armor=wear out faster=die easier. I prefer lighter armor. Most gladiators fought bare chested. It was a mark of honor for them to show their willingness to die.

I have heard of similar things happening. Officials at my school told me about it happening *inside* the school. Someone will give you a "scratch and sniff sticker" or tell you to lick a piece of paper (why you would lick a piece of paper I have no idea) and it turns out to be drugs. (Usually, I think, cocaine but I'm not sure)

Well, yes, but it's still scary. And if it *might* be true, it's worth being aware of. Because if it is, it might happen someday.

I got this email last night

Hehe got 2 or 3 more inches of draw length on my bow...my arrows (the ones made for my compound) are almost too short now I don't think I'll be pulling it back any further than this though...I'm surprised how fast my arms are getting stronger (and also that I have absolutely no stiffness from it...which IMO is really amazing). Arrows still keep going to the left most of the time though...can't figure out why they are always going to the left.

That sure is pretty, as long as you can stay indoors. I love snuggling up next to a nice warm fire. But I get cold easily and I hate having to wear bulky clothes, so winter is not my first choice of seasons

Fall is here. You can see it in the trees, feel it in the air. You can smell it in the morning dew. It rained today, it was the kind of rain that smells like snow. The wind is blowing through the trees. I love days like this. It isn't stormy, but there's a certain energy in the air that isn't there at any other time. Only in the fall and occasionally in winter. It's beautiful. I feel so alive when the weather is like this... This week promises to be much better than last week.
