In the Second Punic War, the War in Spain was a stark contrast to that of Italy. In 210 BC, Publius Cornelius Scipio (Africanus) took command and within 5 years would eliminate the Carthaginian presence. His success in Spain was as convincing as that of Hannibal in Italy.
